Pattern-Design for the label KIESEL
On January 18, 2012 the young fashion designer Alexandra Kiesel presented her debut collection at the Berlin Fashion Week as part of her sponsorship award “Designers for Tomorrow”. For the collection called “support your local heroes” the designer worked together with six young berlin artists and integrated several illustrations in her fashion, including 3 pattern designs by Various & Gould.
The whole collection is color-wise inspired by the impressionist painters of the 19th-century. Sharp edges and corners, voluminous shapes and soft fabrics are being shown. Bags, jewelry, hats and shoes round up this collection.
Alexandra Kiesel lives in Berlin and studied at the Berlin Weissensee School of Art, same as several of the participating artists:
